I woke up today to the threat of being in El Paso tomorrow. I can think of nothing scarier than waking up to a phone call from your boss's boss on a Saturday morning. Apparently some “express” trucking service was a day behind schedule with our material. The automotive industry cares so much about their supply chain, that a failure to deliver parts on time could incur a company up to $10,000 dollars in fines per hour. So when something like this happens, my company tends to approve drastic measures. Like sending two to three employees across the country with suitcases full of parts. Luckily, they only needed two people this time. As a witness to a small corner of the supply chain, I can tell you, this shit is not nearly as organized as you think it is. Although maybe I wouldn’t have minded spending the night in El Paso that much.

Anyways, I had a goal to accomplish today. For the past few weeks, I have been searching my local thrift stores for a gorgeous CRT TV. If you couldn’t tell by my theme, I kind of love these things. Except I wasn’t able to find one…, I remember a few years ago I would check thrift stores and there would be at LEAST two ever time. It seems like these things are becoming harder and harder to come by. Not to mention, I’m holding myself to a schedule for my newest project, and I kind of need one for it. So I bit the bullet on driving an hour to get one I saw on a craigslist ad.
I finally listened to this compilation disc I picked up for free at a record store. I always check their free shelf, cause I mean… What do I have to lose?

Not exactly my favorite tunes, but I might look into tracks 11-15 if I'm that particular kind of bored. I quite like compilations like these because they exist as someone's taste in music at a particular slice in their life. I get a similar kind of enjoyment when finding my own mp3 player playlists, or even my several year old spotify playlists. There were a couple car crashes today, and some guy got pissed and drove in the breakdown lane, but that’s just what you do on the I-95 I guess. You tell me though was she worth it?

left pic looks like that cuase my s-video cable has broken pins lol
